The location is very good, especially if you have your own transportation. The service at the Front Office is excellent – the staff is very friendly and helpful (ze zijn heel aardig). The breakfast is also good, with a decent variety. Overall, a great experience!

The ambience here is great — quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by lots of greenery, which I really enjoyed. The place is modern, well-kept, and the bathrooms are clean. That said, the pricing feels steep. Most items are above $5 — I tried the truffle fries for $5.50 (a bit underwhelming) and a soft drink for $3.50, which came to $4.20 after tax. Definitely expensive for something so basic. The $20 swimpass also feels a little high considering there are other places that offer a better overall experience for the same price. Still, if you’re just looking for a nice spot to swim, tan, or relax for an hour or two, it’s worth checking out.

We opened the door and the first thing we saw next to the bed was a cockroach in the room. We payed much more than Royal torarica and the resort is wayyyyy less than Royal. The sunbeds were worn and the breakfast area was poorly put together. As we found insects in the room (also spider on the couch) we didn’t find it comfortable to stay there with our baby. After hours of waiting and discussion with management we left without reimbursement. The management even laughed at us regarding our complaint about insects and lectured us on this being normal for Suriname. Fortunately, i have stayed in other places where there were no insects. For me it’s not worth the price.
