Very nice hotel, and very convenient next to the Maiskogel lift, which brings you over to the big ski area Saalbach-Hinterglemm. We stayed at this hotel 6 years ago once when it was still called Alpine Trent, and found it even improved in service personal and food choices, which was very good before already. This hotel is very comfortable. the beds are huge with lots of places to put your stuff, a good locker room area for your skis and ski boots, which can be conveniently heated at night so you have warm boots in the morning. Only downside is the steep stairs you have to climb with your skis to get up to the street area. right next to the hotel is a rental ski and snowboard place as well as 2 ski lifts you can go up to different sides of the mountain. The spa area is beautifully done with a big sauna seating at least 20 people and a nice outside area. We had breakfast and dinner included which I recommend because you have a huge soup and salad bar plus you can choose between 3 different dinner choices and let’s not talk about the fantastic deserts they offer. All-in-all: very big place, but still super comfortable and super friendly staff so a great place to spend a couple days or a week if u can. Wifi is free & excellent! Plus, they have a free outside parking area!
Great location and the hotel is nice but a typical winter sports charter hotel. Not authentic Austrian Tyroler style, but nice nevertheless. Service was good, food was average.
Reponse: Jürgen you should feel deeply ashamed for your response and the lies told by Georgi. First off, identity verification is done with an ID, license or passport. He did not give Georgi either of our names so no check was done, period. His key was specifically for our room, Georgi knows this, we showed him repeatedly how it opened our door and not others, the door was secured. Georgi refused to give us a room, I actually have proof of this, it took about 8 people, 40 minutes and some intimidation from a huge guy to force Georgi into giving us a new room, so funny how he thought he could lie about this. About the Front Office manager, she was incredibly kind (unlike Georgi) so we were kind to her, she was extremely apologetic and we elaborately talked about how dangerous the situation was, what could have happened, and how understanding she was of our distress. And for you to suggest I told her we had "a bit too much to drink" proves how all of this is a lie, I have been completely sober for over a year due to health reasons and my roommate was barely 18 and also not a drinker. There is no world in which we would say we had anything to drink, let alone too much. Disgraceful, your response is disgusting and you should be ashamed. Georgi had to clean the guys poop ( which he first refused ) so he can tell you about the 'lack of contamination' in the room. I expect TUI BLUE to fire Georgi, especially after these lies. And after your response Jürgen, I have decided to take further action regarding this. We documented everything in our groupchat as it was happening, timestamps, pictures, videos, lying about this was incredibly stupid and shameful. I will be in contact. // I found an extremely drunk, naked man sleeping in my bed when I came back to my room later in the evening. Hotel staff gave him a key to the room of two young girls without any checks, absolutely none. He went through my stuff and left his puke-stained clothes with mine. He trashed the bathroom, and there was poop smeared all over the toilet. When we called the man at the front desk who gave him the key, he blamed the drunk guy for giving the wrong room number and told us they never verify their guests when giving out key cards. This was confirmed by three other guests who were able to get keys to any room they wanted without any question or check, which is absolutely unacceptable. To make it worse, the hotel employee refused to give us a new room after we voiced how uncomfortable and upset we were by what happened. He claimed the hotel was fully booked, but when we threatened to sue (after arguing for almost an hour), all of a sudden there was a free room available... next to ours... The drunk guy was so intoxicated that anything could have happened if we had been in the room, asleep or maybe undressed. This should have never been allowed to happen, and the way they handled this grave mistake was abhorrent.
