Ideal facilities for a 3 night stay visiting family and friends. Suitable for all ages and all tastes with alternative fast food outlets on site as well as a petrol station. Food in the Tulip Queen is good pub restaurant fare. Satisfactory all round.

The check-in experience was great- staff friendly. However when we arrived in our room - we’d booked a room for 2 adults/2 children and the check-in staff assured me the room would be prepared as such - there was a prepared double bed and a sofa bed present, but it hadn’t been assembled into two singles as it should’ve been and no bedding was present. Given that this was a late check-in and we have children, this was particularly frustrating scenario as we wanted to quickly get them into bed. There was also only one set of towels in the bathroom, not the four sets one would expect for a four guest booking. Fortunately the staff were helpful when I returned to the reception desk and (I think the lady who helped was April, but can’t be certain) they quickly came and us set the sofa bed up, grabbed bedding and towels. So quickly fixed fortunately. Obviously the issue lies with whoever was responsible for preparing the room. We appreciate the help of the evening staff and hope that this issue doesn’t arise for future guests, including ourselves.

The Carvery was yum. The service from Amy (with a y) was polite and friendly. Disappointed that the room did not have a detachable show head, could not wash away the small hairs found in the tub. I'm 5'2 so I could not even reach the shower head to change its shower fall type. The drain was blocked so stood in dirty water whilst showering Entrance to the pub and hotel smelt of sewage. Lady helping serve breakfast the Friday morning did not smile maybe having a bad day but this will always affect your business The loo roll holder was very loose The remote control was dirty so I cleaned it. The bed and pillow was comfortable Don't think its quite a 4star hotel as have not found 4stars to have these issues. Maintenance is very important in the customers eyes. If I didn't have all these issues then you would be able to call your hotel a 4star and if the customer service was friendly on the Friday morning, then yes. But over all I would give my experience a 3
