We have had a lovely overnight at Tulloch Castle. The dinner and breakfast was very good. The staff have been very pleasant and friendly. There are a few wee things that could be improved but insignificant in the big scheme of things. We would definitely stay again.
Staying at Tulloch Castle was a really interesting experience. The rooms are definitely older, but that adds to the charm and character of the place. One of the highlights was the haunted history tour at night, such a fun and unexpected bonus! A memorable stay with a unique atmosphere.
Booked for dinner, thank goodness we had great company as the food was dreadful. I ordered a chicken dish which didn't resemble what was described on the menu. Hugely overpriced for what was served. Previous reviewer described the food as 'cafeteria '. Sadly disagree: it's not that good! To add insult to injury, a soda and lime which initially arrived as a glass of tap water with a dash of lime, cost nearly £6! Conned into paying a service charge which wasn't explained but already typed into card machine. When disputed, was told no refund could be given. This seemed highly amusing to staff who were present at reception. Wish I'd taken photos of the food, but didn't want to make too much fuss as it had been booked by my friend. Avoid this place at all costs.
