All rooms here face the ocean, so you wake up to a breathtaking view every morning—and if you’re an early riser, you can even watch the beautiful sunrise right from your balcony. It’s truly a magical way to start the day. The rooms are huge and spacious, simple in design but equipped with everything you really need for a comfortable stay. They are also spotlessly clean, with good amenities provided. I personally appreciate the overall cleanliness and neatness of the place—it really adds to the comfort. My only small suggestion would be to add chairs on the balcony, so guests can sit back and relax while enjoying the view. The hotel’s ambience is one of the highlights. Calming background music plays in the common areas, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. For food, the Woodfire restaurant is just a short walk away, perfect if you want a nice meal without driving. There’s also a convenience store near the lobby, which makes it easy to grab snacks or essentials. Overall, I had a great experience here and would happily recommend Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort to anyone visiting Desaru. It’s comfortable, scenic, and conveniently located—just right for a relaxing beach getaway.

One of the best resorts that we have stayed in Desaru. All rooms are sea facing and nothing is garden facing. Breakfast was much better than a lot of famous hotels next to it. The place was not too crowded when we visited and therefore you get a lot of privacy there. The rooms are pretty old but have maintained them well. TVs in Desaru resorts are all the same, not smart. The pool was good, but the most exciting part was the beach. Private, clean and shallow. No big tides and water is blue. Lot of food options nearby and also can be ordered online as needed. Overall we were all satisfied.

A truly memorable stay. 🌊 Every room offers a breathtaking sea view with a private balcony, and on our second morning, we were fortunate to witness the most stunning sunrise. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist. Breakfast was delightful with a generous variety. While the view was perfect, the bed could be improved as I could feel the springs. Still, the serene, calm atmosphere makes this the perfect haven for a quiet beach retreat. 🌅
