Turim Saldanha Hotel

Beautiful Hotel really enjoyed my stay .The customer service was very good ,friendly staff very accommodating.The location is perfect close by to shops and restaurants and easy access to the city centre.Will deffo come back to This hotel when I next visit Portugual.

Turim Saldanha Hotel has a great location—conveniently close to a supermarket, restaurants, and cafes. The room was okay but felt a bit too small. I also didn’t like having to shower inside the bathtub. The soundproofing wasn’t great either—I could clearly hear people talking in the next room.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel September 18 and 19, 2024. The first night we had no air conditioning in the room. We complained to the front desk but were told the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. We couldn’t sleep all night and called the front desk again to ask for a fan. After some time a very old and dirty fan was delivered but it helped very little. We basically didn’t sleep all night. Next day we were transferred to another room where air conditioner was working.. At check out, we asked to speak to the manager about a refund for the first night. We were told to email him but there is nothing they can do. Nothing - they couldn’t even offer us complimentary breakfast at their restaurant. We emailed the manager and never received a reply. Booking.com tried to resolve this and received no reply from the hotel. This never happened to me in all the years of travel - absolutely no interest in customer service. I do not recommend this hotel as they do not make their guests comfortable and if something breaks in the room, they do not care. We paid $260 per night and would have been more comfortable elsewhere.
