Very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are large, spacious and very clean. Amazing little pub. Really enjoy the stay.....too bad we had some load shedding.

We spent one night here in one of the deluxe rooms. Overall the room was better then I expected, nice and big with a very large bed not sure if it was a queen 👑 or king 👑. It's an old building 🏫 so the style is old school but overall the room was fresh and clean and spacious. We spent time by the bar and it's very unique and definitely worth a visit for a cocktail 🍹🍸 or 2 , unfortunately they didn't have any Karusa beer 🍻 which is a local winery 🍷 but they did have there wine. The style of the pub is an old Scottish pub and is well looked after and clean. The staff were ok they did seem a bit shy and lacked a bit of zest which u need when working in hospitality but that's just me saying that as I have also worked for many hotels in my few years in hospitality...it could be my English tooo! The downside was we did have a dirty towel that my wife saw but the staff did change it with no problem and our fridge was not working but we did report this. Unfortunately we were in A2 and the guests in A3 had an argument at 4 30 in the morning about the church's money and the donations being an old building the sound is loud between the walls 🧱 as it was very loud, if we had a phone in the room we could of phoned the desk but when I went down no one was there so not sure if an night auditor was on or if they have one, lucky they did finish after about 45 mins but was wide awake by then. Also note u can here the plumbing when the next room has a shower 🚿 again it's not the hotels fault it's just because it's an old building. Breakfast was ok not sure why we had to pay for our double espressos as you should get any first coffee ☕ with your breakfast 🍳 ☕ no matter what it is and any second coffee ☕ should be payable as most of the time filtered coffee ☕ is not that good . Overall apart from the noisy neighbours I would definitely recommend the Turnberry hotel as it was better than I anticipated. I would book again .

Very cold rooms, air doesn't circulate. So even if it eventually gets hot on the bed side of the room, you might as well be outside with the temperature in the bathroom. I imagine it's the same with AC in summer. Carpets were gross, stained, crumbs, and even an iron burn mark. TV was a PC monitor with bad reception and 3 or 4 channels only. Bed was okay, but quite firm so it'll depend on how you like them. Needs a major overhaul/Reno to correct and update.
