Turret House Thorpeness Close to the beach Thorpeness Lake Thorpeness Hotel Golf and Country Club Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages

Ive just thorougjly enjoyed a 2 night stay with 3 rounds of golf at this friendly and beautifully situated hotel in the village of Thorpeness. The course is now rated as one of my personal favourites. The staff, in the hotel and pro shop, were friendly and helpful. Our superior bedroom had been recently decorated, had all the facilities, great shower, and was spacious. The food was better than I had expected, although, I imagine with big groups in the busy season, service maybe longer. The whole package was great and I would love to return.

What an amazing experiencing. From booking to departure, the Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel was superb. Fantastic location, hotel, amazing food and service, and some challenging golf too. Many of our (large) group go away on golf trips (in the UK and Europe) several times a year, and have been doing so for years. It was generally agreed that our stay at Thorpeness was one of the most fun weekends we have had and represented superb value for money. Thank you Thorpeness... we will be back!

I recently visited with 35 friends and found the service and food to be very good, both in quality and in value. Sadly though even after making allowances for the recent prolonged dry spell, the golf course is in overall poor condition and requires some skilled tlc to bring it up to the standard the layout deserves. This is based on three visits over the last 12 months at different times of the year. That said a very good venue for a large party of golfers.
