Me and my young daughter love this place maybe go in every couple of weeks or so. Bar staff variable. The older guy who works there with the waist coat generally in the mornings is great. We always play a wee game. Yesterday we tried the food and it was lush! Thanks
Popped in here after a schlep around the Yester estate, it's warm, cosy, has a very welcoming and friendly team and we enjoyed our huge meal, i mean the portions were huge, in the end we shared a knickerbocker glory between 4 as we were stuffed. I really loved the liver and chorizo pate, haddock and scampi were great and the macaroni had a lovely rich sauce, so we'll be back.
Rooms very outdated. Hotel is blatantly trying to save money, honestly don't blame them during an energy crisis. However steak pie, chips and veg low quality food, frozen veg yuck !! £17 ridiculous not home made. Breakfast used to be great here. Not anymore continental only. East lothian is overpriced this could be a hidden gem but honestly needs to improve on the food choice
