Twin Lotus Hotel

The basement sheltered car park to the lobby is only by stairs. The breakfast place is also only by stairs, or you can walk down the slope and enter from outside. One of the bed mattress in our room is lobsided and it is sagged. I have to insert cushions underneath so that I won't sink when l sleep. This is the bed near the toilet in room 806.

Wifi here is so unstable, I can't even play a simple YouTube video. The water pressure is also very weak, I have to flush the toilet multiple times. There is only one power outlet in the room to plug a device. The elevators are very slow. No one at the front desk speaks English for foreign tourists, and they are not trained like professional hospitality workers. Definitely not a luxury hotel. It is in dire need of improvement. I can see that other staff members try to do their best to accommodate, so the stars are really for them.

The Twin Lotus is a large hotel (more 3 star than 4 star) catering to conferences and weddings. It is located very far from the central part of town so very inconvenient if you want to explore Nakhon Si Thammarat. Given it is such a large hotel, I was surprised by the quality of the food which we had for breakfast, lunch and dinner (I was here for a 3 day conference so sampled their entire menu). The quality was very mixed, the dishes were mediocre and most surprising was that the local Thai dishes were terrible and served usually lukewarm during the buffets. The service and staff were very bad, untrained for a supposed 4-star hotel of this class and for this price. We had to repeatedly call for basic wait service at the restaurant and bar area. Keep in mind that the majority of staff do not speak English so you should be prepared to use a translation app to communicate.
