U Cerneho Medveda At The Black Bear

Avoid this hotel! For me it was a horrible experience. Dirty floors, cold rooms, cold water, bearly 2 stars hotel. The TV is not working. The furniture is old. Rooms are smelling odd. Worst location I have ever been.

We booked accommodation at The Black Bear hotel. After arriving at the current address, you find out that the hotel does not exist, there is a construction site in its place.

There is no worse place in Prague than this hotel. I don't recommend anyone to stay there. My wife and I spent 4 terrible days, we booked through booking, but did not get what we expected. The owner is a terrible miser and works only for profit, without thinking about visitors. Breakfast is monotonous, the same thing every morning. The price is not true. I had to park at my own expense, 55 euros for three days, and that was only thanks to Patrick (a hotel employee). The room did not have a kitchen, although it was listed as an apartment. The furniture is from the 60s, the doors are creaking, there are no soap dishes, no iron, no ironing board, the refrigerator is almost 10 liters like a car, the lighting didn’t work (sconce), no pillows, just a piece of material, the mattress is soft, it’s impossible to sleep. The hotel is located on a thoroughfare street and there are a lot of taverns nearby, the noise is constant day and night, so you can forget about sleep, especially the screaming of drunken Germans. Rating 1, not worth more, although it is listed as 4 stars.
