U Parkhotel

Very comfortable, modern hotel with great-looking and freshly renovated interior. Room is super comfy, very spacious, bathroom is big and equipped with all necessary amenities. Big TV screen, great view through panoramic window. There are only few rooms per floor which makes even more comfortable. Breakfast is really good with great selection of food and very spacious dining hall. Parking is big enough to accommodate all cars. Location is in the center of UT campus, very green and full of nature around, feels like being located in the middle of a park. There are some shops nearby with a grocery store, subway restaurant and some others.

The hotel is part of the University of Twente and offers a convenient place to stay for those who attend activities at the university. Participant is offered a temporary eduroam account which can be used throughout the campus. Breakfast is good with many choices including continental and English breakfasts. What I do not like is that the door of the shower room cannot be left opened and when it is closed it feels like being trapped. Otherwise it's a great experience. The price is reasonable.

I stayed at the hotel during a congress held on campus. The service and rooms were good, with nothing in particular to highlight. However, I was very disappointed with the dinner. I ordered linguine with truffles and seasonal vegetables (€22) and received an unappetizing dish with extremely poor presentation and bland taste. For a 4-star hotel with such high food prices, I expected significantly better quality.
