U Visionary Roma Hotel

A perfect location in Trevi. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Daniele & Fredrico were always eager to help in anyway. The location is on a busy road but with the sound proofing even the large windows numbed the sound. Also the entrance of the hotel is on a quiet street enabled us to be near the busy center without the hoards of people. The hotel has an excellent authentic restaurant Clementine with comfortable inside eating in the hot summer days. It also has a great rooftop bar where you can take in the great views and drink wine with snacks.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights. The staff were all very friendly the location is very good with lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Our room was lovely and slept very well and we both enjoyed the breakfast which had plenty of choice.

We stayed at U-Visionary Hotel during our visit to Rome, and while the location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and about 20–25 minutes to the Pantheon and Colosseum, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. Check-in was easy and most staff were friendly (especially housekeeping and maintenance), but service during breakfast and at the bar was very poor. Our original room on the 2nd floor was extremely dark, overheated, and had a strong sour odor, likely from the bathroom. Noise from the street made it impossible to ventilate, and the room was simply uncomfortable. When we requested help, we were told we’d be moved but had to wait several hours - no apology, no communication, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Even the rooftop bar, where we tried to wait, was inexplicably closed. We were eventually let into the empty breakfast room, where service was painfully slow. We received the wrong drink (an alcoholic one despite requesting non-alcoholic), never received the second drink at all, and still paid full price. Our second room on the 5th floor was also very dark, next to the elevator and dining area, and not very clean - hair on the bedding, a film in the shower, several non-working lights, and no stocked toiletries or coffee supplies. It felt like a basement as the windows were small and located up near the ceiling. We could not see out of them at all. Despite the multiple issues and disruptions to our stay, nothing was offered to us, no apology, no room upgrade, no discount or partial refund. (We weren't SEEKING compensation, but the fact that we were treated like an inconvenience because of their shortcoming was not great.) The hotel’s modern gothic décor may be appealing in photos, but it comes at the expense of basic standards like comfort, cleanliness, and guest care. If location is your only priority, this hotel may work. But if you’re looking for a true 4-star experience, I can’t recommend U-Visionary with any confidence.
