uMhlanga Sands Resort

The Umhlanga Sands has been superb. The staff from the reception to the restaurants, room service and pool were friendly and did not skip a beat. The rooms have everything that you need, they are clean and fitting of a beach resort. The King Size bed was comfortable with no shortage of pillows, the shower had strong pressure and was a highlight of the day for the kids. All in all it was a wonderful experience and one of the best all round hotels we have stayed at as a family in South Africa. We will be back as often as possible. If you have young kids and want to experience something special as family then I highly recommend you visit the Sands. Thank you to all the staff that made it extra special for the children.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. The location is unbeatable – right on the beachfront with stunning ocean views from the room. The resort is well-maintained, super clean, and has a lovely, relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a family getaway or just a break from the city. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and very comfortable. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves. The on-site restaurants served great food, and the entertainment options kept both kids and adults happy. The service throughout was top-notch – friendly, professional, and always helpful. Special shout-out to the team for going the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Can’t wait to come back again – highly recommended !

You just can’t beat the Sands! Value for money for sure! All the staff from the pool entertainment to the front desk are friendly, helpful and so accommodating. Kids have the best time while the adults are spoiled for choice with some amazing restaurants right on your doorstep. Keep up the amazing work and the happy team you have!
