The staff is so nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and dinner is great too. The hotel is perfect for sport. Olympic pool , tennis and paddle. We had Filippo as tennis trainer. Free training 9 in the morning for teams and private lessons for a super fair price in the afternoon. Filippo is 100 percent the reason we will come back to the hotel in October. See you soon!!!
We overall had a good experience. The location is great, with a beautiful views of Mount Etna from the beach. The resort is lush and well-maintained, with gardens, turtles in ponds, and lots of greenery. Our villa was spacious, nicely furnished. The bathroom could use some renovation, and the kids' room didn’t have air conditioning, which made it very hard to cool it. Also the mattress was extremely firm — by the second night, my back was already protesting. The villas are quite spread out. If you're staying in a more remote one, prepare for a long walk in the sun to the beach, which has only one access point. Renting sunbeds and umbrellas is pricey, and considering the room rate, they really should be included. We had bed and breakfast. Food at the beach restaurant and the pizzeria was very good, though staff sometimes seemed puzzled that we weren't all-inclusive guests. Staff at reception, housekeeping, and the main restaurant were friendly and helpful. Sadly, the beach bar staff were less professional and made comments in Italian about foreign guests while serving them — not exactly classy. Free parking is a big plus, with many shaded spots.
Very tiny rooms. 3 people on 8m2 for THAT money? On top of very cheap made food and a "corporate feeling" like making a vacation at a Siemens factory. Lots of ridiculous rules get commented by lethargic staff with "we are so big and have so many hotels". The worst disappointment was an old bar lady yelling at my kids for entering the pool bar, in swim wear, and imagine wet swim wear. They have driven them away and I was forced to buy the ice cream for them alone. Luckily all the hospitality outside(!) this place were fine. Also the Restaurant Miramare which is extra pay, big extra pay, had good quality in both food and staff and we ate there 3 times. This is NOT included in my rating as the ca 800 EUR we spent there for 3 dinner x 1 adult/2 kids were extra pay. If you consider booking here, please DO NOT. All the other places we made vacation at ever were nicer.
