Unico Hotel Riviera Maya Adults Only

Amazing resort with amazing service. We were fortunate this trip July 2025 to have two amazing butlers Alejandro and Alexander. They reserved our chairs and cabanas every day. Checked in on us through out the day to ensure all was running smoothly for us. We also had other amazing servers throughput the restaurants and bars which I have mentioned on Trip Advisor. The only negative I have to mentioned is the flooring at the Escondida pool has become rather rough compared to other pools. Can’t wait to be back at Unico 2087 Riviera Maya Mariana Iruela

Prepare to be harassed to become a vacation club member. We listened to a presentation the first day to get a free massage and it was hilariously awful. We had to tell three different sales people no before they would let us leave. They offer is a scam, please beware, if it sounds too good to be true remember: it probably is. The representatives called our room I think every day the rest of our stay, harassing us again to join. The reason for writing this review was because on our way out to catch our shuttle to the airport another person harassed us, almost making us miss our shuttle. As far as the resort: it was fine. I am not much of an all inclusive traveler but was ultimately disappointed that none of the amenities we requested before arrival were ready for us. We never got our pillow or welcome drink kit. You have to request turn down service. Mexican restaurant was disappointing for all, sushi was the best but they are way too strict about reservations for it - the girl at the counter is probably the worst customer service we received the entire visit. Staff overall are excellent and the food was better than expected. The drinks are weak so ask for shots. The spa was $$$ and teeny tiny but we really enjoyed our free massage. Worth the harassment throughout our visit to join their crappy vacation club :)

Recently went to UNICO at the end of July and was super excited to go based on various recommendations. Overall, it was a great stay with great amenities. The rooms are top notch, we had the swim up resort view. The food was great for Cancun but not the best resort food you can get in places like Cabo. There could be more places to eat on the property and more daytime options. The concierge service wasn't the best, they did enough to get by (we waited over 2hrs for a steamer). They weren't the most helpful and by the end of our stay, we just didn't see the point of using the service. The pool was fantastic and we enjoyed all the random activities. There is wildlife all over the resort. We would go back again with tapered expectations because UNICO left more to be desired based on the hype.
