Union Creek Resort

The desk staff were especially helpful, friendly and professional, both in-person and over the phone. They were up-front about the communication limitations beyond their control, but potential visitors need to know beforehand that there is no cell phone service in this remote area and the available WiFi is spotty and limited. That said, the location is beautiful and historic and close to Crater Lake, but visitors should monitor their gas tanks since the nearest gasoline is nearly a half-hour away in both directions. The restaurant across the street provides good food with friendly servers, and the lodge has a gift shop with snacks and souvenirs. Also, visitors should be advised that the lodge rooms are very small and have no private bathrooms; there are shared bathrooms available, and these are clean, secure, and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin assigned was nice size. The basic kitchen provisions to use the kitchen were missing, such as pans, set of utensils, serving dishes, full set glasses, etc. Friendly staff tried to fill in a few items. Basic repairs needed on screen doors and windows to be functional. Overall appears quaint and rustic in a beautiful setting.

The location is what Union Creek has going for it. Our cabin was advertised as rustic, but dirty and outdated are a better description. The cabin had a horrible smell ( like dead rodents) and airing it out didn't help. There were mouse dropping in the kitchen, and dead spiders in the window. The entire cabin needed a deep cleaning. The entrance to the cabin wasnt safe as the steps were crumbling and uneven and the floor slooping. We paid $250 / night and $50 is more suitable. Please please clean and update the property - it could be an awesome getaway.
