A perfect hotel in a perfect location ❤️ We were pleasantly surprised to find two balconies in our hotel room – such a rare and lovely touch! The hotel is located in Prague 2, which I personally consider the best area in the city: close to everything, yet peaceful and charming. Highly recommended! 👍🏼
The location is awesome! Away from the tourist hot spots and yet right in the city center with great access to public transport. Apart from that really good price quality ratio and yes if you need a soft mattress it's maybe not the best place to stay. Other than that it's perfect clean the rooms are small but well organised and there is a fridge and free Nespresso caps! For that kind of money you really can't ask for more ! Not to mention the tran stop at 50 m from the hotel the kebab right in front and Lidl about 200m plus 2 more grocery stores that are open late !
We stayed at Hotel Union in Prague from May 11–17, 2025 as part of an Erasmus+ school program with 10 underage students (11 years old) and 3 teachers. The reservation had been made in January and included a clear request for 3 student rooms and 3 single rooms for the teachers — all on the same floor, due to child protection and supervision regulations. When we arrived, we were told the rooms were split across multiple floors. For two nights, the teacher rooms went unused, and teachers had to sleep in student rooms to ensure proper supervision. To make matters worse, on the first morning we were informed that breakfast (prepaid 858€ and part of our agreement) cannot be offered without any prior warning or arrangement. Our students had to attend school activities without eating. As of today, no refund has been issued, and the hotel manager has never answered our calls or mails. We have filed official reports with the Prague Police and the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), and are escalating the matter through the European Consumer Centre. This experience caused serious disruption to a school program and placed both staff and minors in an unacceptable situation. Please take this into account when considering your booking. Update after owner’s reply: I saw your response and was honestly surprised, since you’ve continued to ignore my emails. It seems Google Maps is the only way to reach you. Unfortunately, your reply contains false claims. I’m now sending another email with the bank details you claim not to have. The amount owed is 858€ (11€ × 13 people × 6 days — screenshot available). If you’ve truly processed the refund, I challenge you to post the transfer receipt here (without personal details) as proof. This was a publicly funded Erasmus+ trip for underage students. Your failure to deliver has caused serious financial and emotional consequences, and the burden has fallen on people simply doing their jobs. Now, three teachers are covering this cost personally because you failed to provide a basic, contracted service. I wouldn’t spend my precious time writing this if we didn’t feel completely ignored, misled, and wronged.
