I stayed at the Travelodge by Wyndham Downtown Chicago for three nights with my partner while visiting the city. I’ll admit I was a little nervous when booking after reading some mixed reviews, but for the price, I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and got to our room. It’s an older hotel, but it’s clean, comfortable, and in a great location. If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay downtown without sacrificing comfort, this is an excellent value.

It was a budget friendly option. Room was clean, nice and spacious. Their service was good. A lot of food options nearby. Tourist spots and bus stops are also just at walkable distances.

I came on the morning of May 2 and I forgot who checked us in but he was AMAZING. Him and the security were great and so welcoming. I visited with my friend and we had a double bed. The space is pretty good and honestly the location was just a great. You can walk or Uber pretty much anywhere. I think the hotel was iffy when I first booked but turned out to be great, mostly because of the staff!! If you are on a budget I would definitely recommend this place :)
