I recently stayed at Unity and had a really enjoyable experience, especially as someone working while traveling. The space had everything I needed, a comfortable co-working area, a well equipped gym with high quality techno-gym equipment, and a small kitchen in the room which made things incredibly convenient. The overall vibe felt like a mix between an Airbnb and a boutique hotel. It was clean, minimal, and clearly designed with remote workers in mind. It is also reasonably priced for what you get. That said, there were a couple of things that could have been better. The breakfast was quite underwhelming. It included yogurt, bread, coffee, and some cold cuts. You might get a boiled egg on a good day. I understand I had the option to cook, but for the price, I was hoping for more variety. The air conditioning in our room was also not very effective. Even with it set to the coldest setting, the room still felt warm and stuffy at night. We did not feel comfortable leaving the window open since it faced the sidewalk, which did not seem entirely safe. Still, I would definitely recommend Unity if you are looking for a comfortable and practical place to stay while getting work done. It's in a nice location and overall a solid choice for working travelers.
We had a great stay at this location. Bathroom, bed, kitchen etc were fantastic. All of the service staff were top notch and super friendly. However the breakfast is not worth it - I usually love hotel breakfasts with the standard bacon and eggs vibe, but instead of that you'll get bread, toppings, pastries and some yogurt. Super fine, but not worth the price. Head down to Brod & Salt for breakfast instead.
The hotel is in a good location for people wanting easy access to restaurants, shops and travel options to the city (the ferry boarding area is about a 10 minute walk). Over the course of my stay I had various dealings with the reception staff, all of them were very friendly and helpful. I loved the shared balcony area, it's a great sun spot for chilling out. The gym was also a positive, I only went in a few times, but it had everything I needed. Unfortunately that was about it for good things. The cleanliness of the room was a big let down. I got to the room to find dirt on the floor, and long hairs all over the place. The mattress topper even had a blood stain on it, I didn't dare to look what the actual mattress was like! I had to keep asking for the room to be cleaned, at one point in my stay, it went 10 days without a visit from the cleaners. That's a long time when its hot and the air-con doesn't seem to work. When they eventually did show up, it seems like they just replaced the towels and sheets, the floor was still messy and there didn't seem to be a brush anywhere for me to clean it myself.
