Universal Aparthotel Don Camilo

We recently had a great week. Our son was in the clean hotel pool every chance possible, or the hotel play area, or on the beach. Apartment 111 was modern, kept cleaned and tidy ( Paulina was our chambermaid - a real star- we left you a tip at the front desk to say thanks!). Lovely big shower with impressive water pressure. Aircon in bedroom and living area with a remote for each. We didn’t have all inclusive but ate in the buffet restaurant on several evenings; it was very relaxing beside the closed pool and good value. The choice of cooked to order meat was always tasty and the chef had a great sense of humour. There is a real family feel to the place- talking to repeat customers the staff are there for multiple seasons which speaks well of the owners/management in my view. The only slight issue we wish we knew better was the local parking arrangements- we knew there was no hotel parking but other options were often full. There is probably always a space somewhere but you may need to walk 5 to 10 minutes. The 5 euro per day beach side parking is closed at night and quickly fills on weekends and when the weather is good.

Outstanding value considering how beautiful St.Elm is and the quality of the establishment. The apartments are well equipped (but do not have an oven of any type, only hot plate and microwave) and fairly modern. Most have a great view. Staff were helpful and friendly.

everything was really good, except the food which was not so good (it looked ok but wasn't so high quality / didn't taste that great, eg powdered eggs, powdered juices etc) which is a shame otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.
