Universal s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Our family had a truly unforgettable stay at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch and the atmosphere transported us straight to Italy. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully styled. The boat ride to the parks was a favorite for the kids, and having early park admission was a huge bonus. After long days at Universal Studios, relaxing by the serene harbor and pools felt like a dream. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and family-friendly comfort—we can’t wait to return!

Well, what can I say. Portofino Bay is Simply Awesome. The food, the location, the attention to detail and the smell of the hotel when you walk in is just magnificent. 3 pools, multiple places to dine, water taxi to the parks, unlimited express passes to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. This place has it all. My family and I truly enjoyed the amenities, and we were able to have adjoining rooms which the kids REALLY loved. I have no complaints, and we will be back.

We had 8 rooms in total and 1 family experienced difficulties with the room being delivered to them dirty and then having a hard time getting housekeeping to clean it while they were out. The rest of us all had wonderful experiences so we chalked it up to 1 bad apple. But please don't let this spoil the whole bunch for you. All the other housekeeping staff was great! Management did refund the family that was affected $200 which was a nice surprise. This property amazed me with how it was very kid friendly with the family pool and evening activities but still managed to be very romantic. The adults loved the bistro atmosphere around the water at the Harbor Piazza. The opera singers in the evening was the perfect touch to give you the feeling of Portofino, Italy. We stayed for 4 nights while we enjoyed Universal Studios, Island of Adventures and EPIC all together as a family. This resort added a special touch to our family trip. OH, and I was shocked how sound proof our room was. We knew exactly who our neighbors were, lol, and did not expect to never hear anything at all through the wall! I can't ever remember staying in a hotel where we've never heard neighboring noises. And I think it's safe to say we've stayed at if not every caliber of hotel there is it would be pretty close to it.
