Unsöld's Factory Hotel

The rooms are tiny, but very well kept. There is no air conditioning, but they provided two powerful fans in each of our rooms. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Overall very average stay. We were given a different room to the one we booked. When we then asked to downgrade to get a feature we wanted, they first tried to talk us out of it but then only offered €10 a night difference in price, despite the online difference being much higher. We booked 4 months prior to staying so I would expect we could be given the room we had booked. The rooms are basic, but overall no issues with the size or what's in the room. I would definitely not stay here if it is hot as there is no AC in any rooms other than the suites on the fifth floor. The staff at the front desk are okay. No complaints. The cleaning staff were friendly and very accommodating for any needs. Location is good, close to the train and old town. Overall it's a very average hotel, I'm surprised it's advertised as 4 stars, definitely felt more like a 3 star hotel especially without aircon. Unlikely to stay there again.

This hotel is trying to be something it is not. It should be more like a hostel than a hotel. In a hostel you don’t expect much and you kind of get what you pay for. Whereas this chain is trying to position itself as a premium brand with premium price. At this price you get little to no service, the front staff Oleh wont help you when you ask for some ice because it is unreasonable to ask for ice in the sweltering heat. Oh by the way the rooms had no air conditioning, so don’t come here in the summer months you are better off paying for a sauna you will save more money.
