Upstalsboom Hotelresidenz & Spa Kühlungsborn

Wonderful! We had a fantastic week here and will definitely be visiting again. A genuinely relaxing atmosphere awaits you as soon as you step inside! The modern, luxurious building is spacious and comfortable and manages an excellent balance of modern and traditional. The rooms are big, clean and bright with super comfy matresses and a choice of pillows. If you want you can chose a sea-view, but this really isn't necessary as the hotel is set in lovely grounds with private gardens at the back and then forest. The breakfast is amazing, as are the spa and swimming pool. The gym was the only disappointment for us, with only one treadmill and one exercise bike. A final big mention for the staff - professional and friendly throughout. I can't understand why this doesn't have five stars! P.s. you can ask to go up to the viewing platform if you have time, for a stunning views of the area from the top of the hotel.

This is an amazing hotel easily deserving a 5 star review, if I could I would give it more!! Firstly, the professional staff at every step of your stay from the reception, bar and restaurant staff, spa and of course not forgetting the housekeeping. They were always so friendly and helpful, which is hard to come by in Germany. Then the next big plus is the hotel itself, the rooms are modern, clean and oh so comfortable. We were fortunate enough to get a room looking out directly onto the beach. Nice little touches like the tablet with internet access and mega comfy bed with nice pillows that guarantee a great night's sleep. Talking about a good sleep, the hotel also offers an amazing buffet breakfast until 13:00 meaning you can cherish those extra hours of sleep, no need to get up early just so you can get to breakfast. Next on my list, and for us the most important element of our stay, the spa. Just wow!!! Well equipped with a nice pool, a couple of saunas and a steam room, plus plenty of comfy places to relax and a health bar with complimentary fruit, tea and infused water. Last thing to note is the amazing location directly on the beach and smack in the middle of Kühlungsborn so that you can reach everywhere on foot. This place completely won us over and it is our new goto place for relaxation and rest, we will be back in the Autumn. Thanks for everything!!!

This hotel is centrally located in the charming town of Kuhlungsborn right on the Baltic Sea coast. The people working there were extremely attentive and a pleasure to interact with. The room was impeccable and the food there was excellent. I cannot find anything that they need to work on or improve.
