Uptown Palace

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Helpful guys on the door. Exceptionally friendly & good humoured. Great location. Lovely breakfast. Beautiful SkyView restaurant. Only downfall as others mentioned no water in the rooms & dispenser at the door not always refilled.

Pros: • The location is good. • Rooms and bathrooms were clean. • The bellboys were very helpful and efficient. Cons: • Despite being a 4-star hotel, it lacks a few basic amenities: there were no complimentary water bottles in the rooms, and the water dispenser near the reception was not always filled. • The rooms were quite small.

Rooms are small and dark and the bathroom smells like sewage! The hotel unfortunately has ongoing construction right outside the property adds significant noise and limited pedestrian access so don’t think about sleeping in past 7am. Long waiting time to get around the hotel as one lift is closed every night for the restaurant on the roof despite no one actually going up there and the entrance has one tiny rotating door. However it is accessible into the centre and is around 15 minutes walk from the Duomo or there are metro stations close by.
