The hotel was perfect! I really enjoyed both breakfast and dinner – the meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared with some local ingredients, which made the experience feel authentic and special. A lovely stay overall!
We stayed on a sunny winter day and enjoyed the stunning ocean view. The onsen had lots of variety of jets and pools. The buffet dinner was very nice, I was delighted by the automated beer pourer. The buffet breakfast was nice, however we were still full from the previous night dinner. My children loved the gotcha gotcha machines and mystery draw prizes at the end.
Friendly staff and big rooms but very dated hotel. Nice outdoor onsen with lake view. Problem was the lack of food and restaurant options. For a hotel with a couple of hundred rooms there should be multiple or adequate food options in the hotel as there is nothing nearby as far as restaurants go. Japanese restaurant closed whole stay, French fine dining restaurant no kids allowed. Only option for dinner a very average and overpriced buffet… day time is worse. Breakfast is cheap and fine for Japanese breakfast but the western breakfast selection is terrible. Scrambled eggs were disgusting. Lunch the only option in the whole hotel is the lobby cafe which has 2 pasta choices and 1 sandwich… terrible selection for the size of hotel. Rooms very old and the internal heater runs in the room and can’t be turned off or change the temperature… only saver is to open the window, so the air is extremely dry. Beds rather hard but that’s typical for japan hotels. Pretty underwhelming hotel overall. 2 nights was more than enough. Not sure what you would eat if you stayed there any longer…. :(
