URH Hotel Moli del Mig

We had lunch under the trees at the terrace Barbarcoa restaurant, not far from the outdoor pool. Yet another establishment that requires a smart phone to see the menu. At least the WiFi was good. A short but interesting menu. The excellent sea bass was great, a large portion but the wok vegetables were cold. The salad, styled as Moroccan, wasn't very Moroccan with incongruous sweet corn. Good. The crab salad was served with strikingly yellow mashed potatoes. Delicious but the texture was a little strange. Our initial snacks included a generous portion of ham but pa de coca was over-toasted. Service was brusque. Service at the evening meal was perfect when we returned a year on.

An unusual and unique hotel located amongst fields of fruit crops. It has the feel of a minimalist, modern building that could easily be an art gallery. 2 km from the nearest town. I’m sure this would work well as a wedding or event location..

We enjoyed our stay at Molí del Mig, although it fell a bit short of expectations. The spa facilities could use some updates—particularly the jacuzzi, which wasn’t hot, and the area overall felt somewhat neglected. The half-board option is a good deal, but the food, especially breakfast, could be improved. That said, we really appreciated the location, which felt safe and peaceful, allowing our kids to freely explore and enjoy nature.
