Ustay Luxury hotel

Excellent experience. We stayed here for several days going and coming from Mt. Everest, and the experience was quite enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the beds relaxing, the bathrooms clean and functional, and the service friendly and efficient. In more detail, the rooms have plenty of outlets and all the amenities that international travelers are used to. There's a thermostat, hair dryer, flush toilet, and mini-bar (although the mini-bar had some...interesting additions). The beds were clean and comfortable too. They even had no-smoking rooms. There's a breakfast restaurant, as well as a small cafe/wine-bar in the lobby, and menus are in English. We were able to leave luggage with the hotel when we went to Everest, which was much appreciated too. It's also less than a 10-minute walk from both Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple, and the street it opens out onto is full of shopping and restaurant options. The only negatives were the occasional black-outs and late-night car alarms, neither of which are really the hotel's fault.

The decoration is splended, and the room is also very clean and comfortable.
