Ustedalen Hotel Geilo

Clean, stunning view, tranquil. It was just an overnight stay but a pleasant refuge from the cold though you have to pay to rent own bed linen. A bit pricey but they gave a 2 room unit. Everything we needed was there. There was a stunning view of the snow and place was warm and cozy. Very near to city centre. We were able to walk around and visit other landmarks

It's ok. Big, spacious, clean rooms. Friendly service. I'm sure it's great if you spend a longer time time there skiing - all your ski gear will fit. We spent a night there while driving trough Norway. Not so great for that as you have rent bed sheets, do a checklist when leaving, etc. As in all apartment hotels I've visited, the cutlery is a bit unclean, some small things broken here and there. Pillows not that great.

Don't recommend. I checked in at around 7 PM and was shocked to find that one of the two beds in the room hadn’t been cleaned at all. There were no bed sheets, no duvet cover, no pillowcase, and the pillow was covered in yellow stains. I went to the front desk to request a room change, but they flat-out refused. Eventually, after more than 30 minutes of waiting, a cleaning staff member arrived to take care of it. She was incredibly kind and helpful — even though she wasn’t responsible for my floor and had already finished her shift, she came all the way from home just to help. I’m truly grateful to her. That said, I do not recommend this hotel. The room hygiene was below average, and the service from the front desk was disappointing.
