Vakantiepark Eiland van Maurik

I came across Eiland van Maurik on booking.com when I was planning a trip to Netherlands. tbh I didn’t expect it was so much fun! We stayed in a beach house near the lake, enjoyed the sunsets there, the view was spectacular. The indoor play area and pool area are relatively new and spacious. Would recommend for families and friends.

We visited here for the second time and as expected, it is clean and well-equipped with facilities for children. In particular Ms. Lisette at front desk is very much professional and friendly. Whenever I have a question, I can get an accurate answer from her.

We rented a chalet for a few months during winter; the location is beautifull, the chalet was great with a few major exceptions: there are rats in the walls, and nobody from the park did anything; we had to figure it out ourselves; the bills were ridiculous: 2000 euros in less then 3 months for electricity, gas and water. They have propane gas, so be aware if you want to rent for a longer time; they charge 5.25 per cubic meter-that is triple the average market price; the rent was 1450 a month plus the bills. Before we rented we asked about the bills and the person responsible said they will be maximum 300 euros a month; as I said, we paid 2000 in less then 3 months. She refused to answer after we asked her about the bills.
