Vakantiepark Koningshof

My friend and I had 5 days in middle of May in a 4 man bungalow, each had a twin room to ourselves. Bungalow has fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, kettle coffee machine and a large sitting area with table and a pleasant bathroom and separate WC.. The site has everything one needs for spending a holiday on site, with restaurant, snack bar, bar, Coffee Automat in reception, a well stocked supermarket, in and outdoor pools, sauna, Outdoor exercise machines next to a small lake and a nice indoor playground including table tennis, pool, climbing etc. All free. We used it as a base to travel to Utrecht Leiden and the coast all if which are easy to reach by a sound infrastructure with 4 buses in both directions per hour. The bus stops are about 700 away. The personnel were very friendly and spoke apart from Dutch perfect english & German and probably others too. The site is small so everything is in easy walking distance but large enough for enough personal space and privacy. I would definitely recommend it as a holiday camp, or as a base. We booked through Eurocamp. It is a lovely clean campsite. Has approximately 250 pitches & ideal for families. A fab location & we made the mist if our time, due to weather being pretty awful. We visited Leiden, Gouda (try the Gouda Cheese Experience) Amsterdam & the Coast also local villages. Supermarket is small but has the basics with a bakery giving you fantastic opens for your daily breakfast. Staff are super friendly & will speak to you in English!! We came in Children's half term so the campsite did become very busy during the latter half of the week due to the Public Holiday of Ascension day. Food & drink in the snack bar were superb. Very clean campsite with a great kids program, big swimmingpool, nice store and friendly staff. There is not much immidiately around the campsite. A pricier place, but its still a good offer for families! We recommend staying here with kids.
