Vakkaru Maldives Luxury Private Island Resort

The stay was amazing, very luxurious. We were taken care of as queens. The reception, the welcome drink and sweets, the food in the restaurants was spectacular especially the breakfast, the spa view was magical, the service and the workers were all amazing, welcoming. The rooms were clean, the service was very fast. I would like to give a huge shout out and big thank you to Tina who helped in everything to make our stay memorable. She even arranged for me three wheel bicycle because I didn’t know how to ride two wheeler. Tina went above and beyond, she is a marvelous and welcoming soul. Special thanks to Joseph who made us yum yum food and the experience we had at the dinner was amazing, also to Dora who helped me during my dive and was very gentle and helpful and showed me the clown fish, to Ahmed who showed me the turtle and made my day. Honestly, If I knew the names of everyone, I would like to thank them one by one. Thank you for this amazing trip that I will never forget 🤍

A gem of a hotel! Isolated within the baa atoll. Vakkaru really was such a special stay. The staff and attention to detail is great. Special mention goes to our butler Longey who was available at all times, our waiter Mahesh who served our breakfasts was extremely attentive and Rashid who always helped us at the pool and a special mention to Javier part of the boating team. Staff in general are always friendly and you definitely feel it’s customer first focused. There’s plenty of activities to keep you entertained throughout the day with a class in the mornings either circuit training, yoga or meditation. We made full use of the padel court which was great. The breakfast spread is amazing, choices to please everyone with high quality ingredients and dinner has several restaurant options, our favorites being Onu and Vakku. The bedrooms are beautiful with a twice a day turn down service.

I didn't expect this beauty! Just so beautiful, out of this world! Everywhere you go, it's just paradise. I like how the marine life is protected here since it's within UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You can just go down your overwater villa and snorkel. My daughter loved it! She enjoyed snorkeling a lot and swimming with the sea creatures. We had a great time here. I would definitely recommend Vakkaru for families and couples. It's a very family friendly resort. Parrot Fish Club is a plus! They have a lot of activities for kids all day while we, parents, can go for a spa. Special thanks to our Butler, Juman, for making our trip extra special! Those sand arts that he makes by our door every night are beautiful and amazing! That last night sand art is special with a powerpuff girl (Buttercup) that says "see you soon". My daughter loved it! She's a fan! Juman pays attention to our conversations with him. Those "little things" are special! He even remembers it's our 11th wedding anniversary. He also prepared a very nice bubble bath for my daughter. Thank you, Juman! All staff were amazing! Very welcoming. Always greeting you with our names, not just ma'am or sir. Very personalized service. Ted is always going around, making sure guests are having a good time. Everybody speaks really good English. It's also a plus that there are Filipino staff here, makes us feel more at home, too. So many great memories in just 3 nights. All the restaurants we tried, were really good! There's a lot of choices here! Breakfast had a lot of different food, too! They have different smoothies every morning and some morning mocktails. The lime with salt and pepper on the brim was great! My wife and I enjoyed the spa! The view while you're looking down was stunning! You get a view of the water. Our overwater villa had a great view! We wish we could've stayed longer. Our bikes! We miss riding our bikes around the resort, day and night, with our names on it. Hoping we'll be back next year!
