Valamar Tirena Hotel

We recently stayed at the Valamar Tirena Hotel and had a wonderful experience. Our room was a good size, with a comfortable king-size bed for the adults and a cozy cot bed for our child. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the hotel amenities were very nice. The Valamar Tirena is part of a larger resort area with several Valamar hotels nearby. The communal spaces are beautifully landscaped, with lovely walking paths shaded by vibrant oleander trees. It’s a peaceful and scenic area to stroll through. The views from the Oceanside are absolutely stunning, and there are several nearby beach clubs to enjoy as well. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Valamar Tirena Hotel in early June 2025 and had a great experience. The staff were consistently friendly, proactive, and genuinely helpful. Our room was comfortable, freshly renovated, and cleaned regularly. Breakfast and dinner offered a good range of choices and decent quality. The pool area was spacious, clean, and had both a bar and a café. The water slides were a nice added benefit. Just outside the hotel, there’s a small promenade with a couple of restaurants if you fancy eating out. There’s also a well-equipped gym in a neighboring Valamar hotel, which we used regularly. It’s a fantastic place for families. The Maro Club was a real highlight for our child, with loads of activities like soft play, crafts, games, evening discos, and performances. The staff there were especially impressive: engaged, caring, and clearly great with kids. You can even leave little ones there in safe hands for a while. The only minor downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a beach on-site, but it’s just a short 5–7 minute walk to the nearest one by the President Hotel. All in all, a genuinely family-friendly hotel we’d happily return to. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Valamar Tirena Hotel with our two young children and found it to be a good choice for families. The kids’ club offered plenty of activities to keep little ones entertained, which was a big plus. Our two-bedroom family room was spacious and ideal for a family of four. The location is also convenient – just a short walk to the beach, and there are a few shops and facilities within the complex. That said, there were a few downsides. The pool areas felt quite small and overcrowded, especially during the day. At the beach, if you don’t hire a sunbed, you’re left sitting on concrete or small stones, which wasn’t very comfortable. We also found the buffet a limited in terms of variety, so we chose to eat elsewhere most of the time. We specifically chose this hotel for our children after staying at another hotel for 7 nights in Montenegro that wasn’t child-friendly. While our kids really enjoyed the stay, we felt it may not have been the right fit for us as adults.
