Vale da Lapa Village Resort

Brilliant relaxing getaway, can’t fault a thing, only 4 stars for location but their own beach is only a short drive away! As I’m a bit old fashioned, this ticks all the boxes that holidays should be about! Yes I do the all inclusive too, unfortunately you can’t pick who else is in the same venue 😡

Our favourite place to visit. We've stayed in the villas 3 times and have loved each time we've stayed. The staff are always friendly and helpful and happy to meet any needs you have. We love that the villas provide a home from home while still having the comforts of a resort i.e bar, spa, gym etc. My only criticism is that the private pools at the villas aren't heated. This isn't a problem in the summer months but if you decide to visit when the weather is cooler, it can feel extremely cold. However, you can still use the indoor heated pool on the resort.

The resort townhouse was very clean, spacious and modern. The air conditioning was excellent on the hot days and a nice balcony and patio made a perfect place to stay. You certainly need a car to get around as it’s 7-10m drive to local places - but that includes beaches, markets, water parks etc. We used the pools in the evening to relax and the sweet potato fries at the pool were just right! Some of the stay seemed a little grumpy or slow. We didn’t try the restaurant as we had only a couple of days and preferred to explore outside the resort. The main reception was cheerful and attentive and we had a great time!
