Valentin Imperial Rivera Maya All Inclusive Adult Only

Had an amazing week at Valentin Imperial. Was the first time here and compared to other all-inclusive resorts, was our favorite. Service was spectacular and never had a problem. All of the restaurants were great and wasn't a problem getting seated right away. Liked all of the options to choose from and never had a bad meal. All of the bars were great. Shout out to the staff at Martini bar off the lobby! Go to place for an end of evening drink. Don Miguel's was also a cool atmosphere and a favorite to relax in the evening. The grounds are really well maintained and beautiful throughout. Once we figured out what they were, watching the coati's play was fun. Rooms were good, beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well. Glad we stayed in the Gold buildings as the smaller, quieter pool was great to have close by. The size of the beach front was incredible. Lots of shaded chairs. Was unfortunately sargassum but not the resort's fault and they did what they could to clean main areas of the beach. Still enjoyed the ocean. Only complaint was the number of guys selling on the beach. Seemed every 2 minutes someone came by. After a while, "no, gracias" gets tiring. As a group, they'd park on the beach and hang out most of the day. One even had his kid running around the beach. Odd for adults only resort. But overall was really impressed and would definitely go back.

Was going through my reviews and realized I never reviewed our stay at the VIM! My girlfriend and I visited the resort with a friend couple of ours back in August last year for my birthday. It was AMAZING! The level of service provided was phenomenal and really set the bar for visiting future all-inclusive resorts as this was our first time going to one. All the restaurant options had delicious food and the property itself was easy to navigate and the scenery was beautiful. The reception made check-in easy and simple and any time we had questions, were very helpful. 10/10 will definitely be back and recommend.

Very disappointing. We had high expectations of this resort, which fell short in every way. Initially, our transfer was 45 minutes late picking up at airport. The resorts response was "well you still have to pay", no apology, not even acknowledged. The food was less than average and it seemed like the resort was short staffed. Long waits for food and drinks at the bar. Staff was generally less than friendly. Beach was covered with seaweed. When I addressed with the supervisor her response was "you should have done your research before coming". I did research the resort and looked at all the photos and comments on the resort website. The website even has drone pictures showing a beautiful, clean beach. I asked for the resort manager, she told me he was not available. Someone would call me, which they never did. Our soaking tub did not work, no water came out. Called this in, no one ever came out and the tub never worked for our entire stay. In summary, this was a terrible experience on all levels. The resort itself is nice, however the food and service is well below average. I would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury resort or exceptional service. Lastly, I wrote a complaint to the resort management. I sent the letter twice and received no response. They clearly are not concerned with customer satisfaction or improvement.
