Valgrande Hotel

My experience at the Valgrande Hotel was... average. Not great but not bad either. Let's start with the positive aspects, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast crew was so kind and polite, especially Simonetta. The Continental breakfast was quite good and varied. The room was very spacious and quiet with clean and comfortable beds. The bathroom was also spacious. The indoor pool was perfect in size and the water was wonderfully warm (and it also had a sundeck)! Perfect for swimming before bed! Now the slightly more negative aspects. First, this was mentioned in other reviews, the entrance wasn't easy to see. Like many other comments already mentioned, the floor rugs in the hallways and rooms weren't very clean and maybe needed to be changed. The walls of many halls had water infiltrations on them. But all in all for a night, I feel safe to recommend this hotel.

Attention! Moldy rooms, outrageous drink prices and no customer service! The pictures are current from 01.10.2023, The first room we were offered (unfortunately no photos) was even worse. You can smell and see the mold. We broke off the holiday after the second moldy room (which was offered to us after 2 hours!). Sockets and light switches just hang around. The motel nearby is definitely more recommended! Hotel management does not get in touch!

This hotel is of a low quality; I would advise staying in a different hotel. The rooms do not have Wi-Fi and the internet can only be accessed in reception. Also, quite large, however, the standard was low. The hotel looks dilapidated from the outside with the pictures not showing the true condition. The restaurant serves substandard food from a set menu. Each course has two items which you can choose from. If you only want one course, they will still charge you for 3 courses. The air conditioning inside my room just circulated hot air even when set on the lowest temperature. I will not be returning here and advise others to avoid the hotel. The hotel itself has a disjointed feeling with no atmosphere, feels like a waiting room that requires a thorough cleaning.
