Valis Resort

Breakfasts were exceptional with a big variety of foods including fresh fruits, excellent coffee and juices. The central conditioning was working properly even on tropical temperatures. The hotel staff was super nice. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. We haven't seen mosquitoes during our stay. The complex has great spa and conference facilities. Nearby beaches has blue flag award for water cleanliness and other 32 criterias. Parking is spacious and the garden is lovely. The hotel is beachfront but instead of the beach, it has a floating platform. There is a small stony beach nearby, 2 mins from the hotel.

It’s a shame really as this place could be way better than what it is. The carpets in the hallways are absolutely disgusting. The rooms are so-so with old furniture that likely hasn’t been updated since the hotel opened.

A few years ago we stayed at this hotel and had great memories. Unfortunately our experience this time was disappointing. A/C not working properly, within one hour we were sweating + pillows huge and hard = we slept very little. no kettle / coffee maker = even 3* hotels have one of the two. curtains with great gaps from windows = no sufficient darkness for sleep. phone not working, could not contact reception entire hotel (furniture and exterior) needs renovation.. swimming pool like a kid's playground... breakfast area with food on the floor, right outside buffet, waiters passing by without picking it up, filthy and also dangerous for slipping accidents..decent variety of food but nothing, NOTHING tasted good. not even bread or coffee... not even a small bottle of water complimentary (1* hotels offer that globally!!!) paid in cash and got no receipt (this is a tax crime!!) location way out of volos town without a proper beach anywhere close to the property. we were not thanked or greeted at all, not even asked how our stay was... only good points: spacious room, free parking on site. overall: real disappointment...
