Didn’t realise that the motel was part of the hotel. Had booked two comfort rooms. 160m+ distance from the room to the reception via outside Main Street. Very disappointed. Rooms are poorly lit but there’s free parking. Bathtub was dirty. Wallpapers were peeling off from the other room. No handheld shower. However, the breakfast was very good with hot meals inc fresh eggs and a large selections of sweet and savoury choices.
Not often do I write such a review but this one deserved it. NOT 4 star by huge mile. You will get duped. Definitely one of the worst room I had in my entire existence considering the price (180 euro a night) and rating of hotel (4 star, bruh..). To begin with. No air conditioning versus what's advertised in Agoda app. Room is extremely warm with bad HVAC. No ventilation and no fans. No way to open windows as the curtains are blocking it and also no mosquitoes nets on the windows. C'mon man. Bed sheets were dirty the moment we entered the room. Also no wifi that's working. One bar to none and outside there is no good data roaming. So you end up in a hot and dirty room with no connection to outside. They should offer a refund or compensation. Big time. Ps: pictures attached of dirty sheets. -- Responding to your comments. Some guests might arrive late in room due to party. Nobody of the guests are really interested to have a conversation or file a complaint at e.g. 01:30 AM midnight to talk about fact that their room is dirty and overly hot. Also Agoda and Van der Valk chose not to compensate so folks better be warned :)
This trip we have decided to be flexible with hotels, and book on a way. According that demand was pretty high, we had found this hotel for 215 €, but 4-star hotel really disappointed us. Firstly, during the checking-in at 2 a.m, when we were really exhausted, the receptionist didn’t install the room’s card properly, so we had to return back via the whole building to reinstall the card. In an extremely tired mood it was definitely irritating. Next morning, I had to reply to quick working call, so I went out of the room not to awake my husband, as the result, the door couldn’t be closed and even signalisation turned on. Unfortunately, after checking out I realised that blazer was forgotten in the closet, after the first our call at the hotel, promised call back didn’t take place, when we called again after two hours, surely nobody didn’t even try to find my piece of clothes. To cut the long story short, in our eyes the hotel lost its credibility and would never recommend to stay here! It doesn’t worth 4 stars!
