Van der Valk Hotel Goes

Very nice hotel, the restaurant was also good and the breakfast has many food options. The location is convenient, but it is close to the highway. Therefore, it is not very scenic. Bike rental service is available. We were part of a large group and the staff was excellent!

Having visited several Van der Valk hotels in the past we were expecting more. The rooms looked old and, judging from the yellow outlets, haven't been updated in a very long time. There was no socket on one side of the bed which was surely missed. The bathroom was good, a big shower (slippery floor though) and plenty of space. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. We asked for a special needs room for my wife's grandma and they arranged a room beside her, which was nice. The location is pretty good, although on our night there was a festival nearby that prevented us from being able to sit outside due to the noise.

There is a lot we can say about this hotel. But I will start with this, there is no AC so do not stay here on hot days. If you think I'll turn on the van their isn't one. Open the balcony door, sure, but you will hear everything since everyone also opens their door. And all the insects will come in. When we got here, the 1st room we got wasn't cleaned. It's not hard to make a system where you let the front desk know which room isn't or is clean. There is a plastic bag on the tree outside. it's not hard to pick it up, people. The room was clean, but the shower could use a bit more cleaning specifically against black mold. The balcony could use a hand as well. They do not have a queen bed, only 2 twins next to each other,
