Van der Valk Hotel Groningen Hoogkerk

It's close to P&R Hoogkerk, was easy to take public transport to the city. Great location, quiet, room is clean, friendly staff, great restaurant and we got free drinks & goodies when I don't need housekeeping service. Good for the environment and empowering the customers to save the planet

I recently stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel in Groningen and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right during my stay. The only downsides for me were the distance from the city center, which made getting around a bit less convenient, and the cost of the breakfast and restaurant options, which felt a bit pricey compared to other places. That said, if you’re looking for a quiet, luxurious stay with top-notch service, this is a great choice. Highly recommend it for those who don’t mind being a little further out from the city!

We had a great stay. The suite was beautiful, and the kids loved the bunk beds. They offered a good breakfast and a small but adequate fitness room. We stayed here when visiting for a show at MartiniPlaza, a short 5 minute drive. The staff was considerate and contacted us when housekeeping found an item left behind. It must have belonged to a previous guest, but it was warming to know the staff had so much respect for their guests and their possessions.
