The premium room was nice and comfortable, had a little electric fireplace and coffee machine, the bathroom had both, shower and bathtub which is always nice. The gym was OK but doesn't have a window. Breakfast was a typical Van de Valk, nothing extraordinary but above the average hotel breakfast. Lots of parking space, so I can recommend this hotel.
We stayed there recently and we enjoyed very much also the restaurant
We booked a room with a fireplace, only to find out it was an electric one with no manual and it didn’t even work. The room itself was quite outdated, with an old TV and a dirty, unpleasant sofa. However, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel was close to Groningen and the staff was friendly. Like many others, we ended up staying in the outbuilding, which we didn’t expect but wasn’t terrible either. Unfortunately, our Saturday morning was disrupted by a rooster crowing and construction workers starting their work at around 6 AM—definitely not the peaceful wake-up call we were hoping for. Not bad, but could be better. Not the standard of Van der Valk hotels. — ⭐️Close to Groningen city (23 min by car) ⭐️Nice breakfast (about €19) with lots of options and lovely staff to make you an egg
