It's a very good hotel, in a good location - convenient access to the motorway and city centre ( 20 minutes walk, or 3-4 minutes drive). Big car park at the hotel. Very polite and friendly staff, good bar and restaurant. Rooms are big, very comfortable beds, nice big bathroom with shower and bathtub. Great choice of food for breakfast, very good Swimming pool with nice view on the 14th floor, also sauna. You can also rent a bikes here. Highly recommended if you stay in Hoorn.
Nice hotel, I'm never disappointed when I go to Van Der Valk Hotel . However , their is a real mouses issue . I saw them running in between the table in the restaurant and at the breakfast. On the top of that some waiters should behave their manners with the clients .
The amenities and offerings are nice, but I feel that the attentiveness of the workers is quite poor. It's difficult to get served a glass of wine in a timely manner, my room has not been vacuumed during my 7 night stay, and I feel there are many workers standing around when I am trying to get their attention.
