We had a lovely time spending a weekend here. We had a room on the 10th floor, which was a complete surprise. View of the city. Our small dog came with us. The room was pretty spacious and was very quiet. The hotel has private parking on site for an additional cost. Also we had breakfast, which was very good and many options. The hotel has a restaurant which is very popular with locals also, we had pizza one night and was very tasty. There is a pool which we used also. One highlight was the rooftop bar, with great views of the city and a fun experience. Very pleased with the hotel. Only downside is that it's not close to the historical city center, about a 25 minute walk.
Van der Valk Hotel Liège Congres is truly a gem and absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a modern elegant atmosphere that feels both stylish and comfortable. The design of the lobby and the rooms is clean classy and thoughtfully put together. Everything feels fresh and well maintained Even though we didn’t try the restaurant or bar this time the rest of our experience made it clear that this hotel is worth every cent. The wellness area is a huge highlight. There’s a beautiful spa with a calm vibe a sauna that’s perfect after a long day a relaxing massage service and a clean quiet pool. The gym is surprisingly well equipped not just the usual basic machines but a real workout space that actually motivates you to move The room itself was spacious cozy and practical. I really appreciated the mini fridge and the safe both very useful especially during longer stays. The bed was comfortable the bathroom was spotless and the lighting in the room created a soft peaceful vibe. It’s clear that attention was paid to even the smallest details Another big plus was the parking. There are so many options and it’s easy and stress free even if you arrive late. Everything is clearly marked and safe which makes a huge difference when you’re traveling or carrying luggage The staff were friendly helpful and professional. Whether it was at the front desk or in the wellness area every interaction felt warm and respectful. We had a few questions during our stay and everything was explained clearly and patiently There are also great conference and reunion rooms available which is perfect for business trips or events. The spaces look very clean and professional and it’s clear that this hotel can handle both work and leisure at the same high standard All in all Van der Valk Hotel Liège Congres delivers an experience that feels elevated from start to finish. It’s peaceful luxurious and modern without trying too hard. You feel relaxed the moment you arrive and completely refreshed by the time you leave. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Liège whether for a weekend getaway a business event or just some quiet time to reset. Definitely planning to come back
This hotel left such a bad impression on us. Tried multiple times to speak to staff and the cleaners to get the room cleaned, change of towels, water, basic amenities that are 100% included in the price and they would say absolutely yes no problem. And then nothing. We were there for a week, the room was cleaned twice after I had to beg the service room cleaners to do it ASAP pls. I went to reception and they kept saying yes absolutely right away. Again nothing. I used Google translate and all to avoid misunderstanding. They were cleaning rooms til 9pm. I could see the carts and hear hoovering til that late. They're probably understaffed but for the price we pay it's just not good enough. I would have rather paid less and gone for an Airbnb. The pool was tiny and always full of kids. Only thing we liked was the gym, but again it's open to use my public members so it was pretty crowded too. Restaurant was constantly crowded. Slow service. Expensive parking. Ugh. Just overall left such a bad impression on us.
