Van der Valk Hotel Paris CDG Airport

During Paris Fashion Week, I found myself needing a last-minute place to stay while waiting for my airline to arrange a flight back home. With city-center hotel prices skyrocketing, I looked for a more reasonable option near the airport—and I’m so glad I found this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Kim and Coralyne at the front desk. Both were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They immediately made me feel like I had come to the right place. I booked a Deluxe Room—the hotel’s newly renovated category—and according to them, I was among the first guests to experience it. The room was nothing short of amazing: extremely spacious, comfortable, and inviting. The walk-in shower was huge, and everything from the layout to the finishing touches was top quality. Honestly, it was a big (and pleasant) surprise for an airport hotel, which usually caters to quick overnight stays. The comfort and functionality of the room, combined with the outstanding service from the entire team—including the breakfast staff and the bar/lounge—made my unplanned stay feel smooth and enjoyable, even as I waited for my flight home. Another big plus: the hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport terminals. This made transportation incredibly easy and hassle-free, which is a major advantage when dealing with flight changes or tight schedules. A small note for improvement: the vegan options at the hotel were quite limited. Whether at breakfast, room service, or the bar, I struggled to find something suitable. Although the staff did try to help and were clearly eager to assist, they seemed a bit unprepared to handle vegan dietary needs. In a major city like Paris, and especially in a hotel serving such a diverse international clientele, I believe it’s time to step up in this area and offer more plant-based options.

The staff at this hotel was not only incredibly kind but also flexible. When my flight to Paris was cancelled they offered to refund my room, but when I was able to find an alternate flight I was able to keep my reservation. They were very responsive and made the stressful travel feel much easier! The room is spacious and modern and I would highly recommend staying here. Special thanks to Usha for her warm welcome!

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Paris. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the service was excellent. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, with clean, spacious rooms that made our stay very comfortable. A particularly thoughtful gesture was the handwritten welcome note—it was touching and made us feel genuinely appreciated. The shuttle bus service was a fantastic addition. After booking, the hotel sent clear instructions on how to reach the shuttle pickup point, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax, enjoy a great meal, and have a memorable experience. I will definitely be coming back.
