Van der Valk Zaltbommel A2

Had a very pleasant stay at Van der Valk in Zaltbommel. The close proximity to the highway is absolutely no problem imho if at all you hear a little bit of a whoosh but it is obviously a very good acoustic dampening/isolation. Very nice and accommodating staff at the check in and in the restaurant. The maltijd Salat was very good, fresh ingredients and seasoned with tasty spices and herbs. Breakfast also fully fledged and has a broad variety of bread, rolls, pastry muesli you name it. The big room with separate toilet and shower featured a very good bed with excellent sleeping hygiene. Had a good night’s sleep indeed. Vast amount of parking spaces right in front of the hotel. If you must there is also a quick charging station on the hotel’s premises. If given the opportunity I’d gladly come back for future visits/stays.

Nice hotel for budget travelers. Very convenient to get transportation to the nearby city. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prompt services and good food.

Stopped at Van der Valk Hotel to charge the car and wanted to go inside for a drink or snack. There was a very small “No Dogs” sign at the entrance, hard to notice with the sun shining on it. Upon entering, the receptionist reacted in a panicky and unfriendly manner, telling me dogs are not allowed. I was told they are allowed only on the terrace, but there was no clear way to reach it from outside — the terrace is at the back of the hotel, and I do not know how to get there without going through the reception. Overall, very unwelcoming, especially considering Tesla chargers are right next to the hotel. Definitely not a pleasant stop.
