The Varinah Resort is a beautiful property with a modern design, including lots of poured concrete and black metal accents. The buildings are clean with unique details and the rooftop pool offers a full 360° view of the ocean, beach, and the mountains of Sam Roi Yot in the distance. The resort is directly by the beach and the water is clean and the sand soft. Every room has a balcony, some with garden views, some with partial or full sea views. The room was clean, minimal, and bright, with blackout curtains. Included was a large desk, mini-fridge, electric kettle, drinking water, tea, and coffee. The bathroom is well-designed, with both a bathtub and a strong rain shower, and the food at the restaurant is delicious and well prepared. The staff is available 24/7 and everyone was consistently polite and helpful. We will definitely come back here and I highly recommend Varinah for a peaceful seaside getaway.
The hotel looks great, but the rooms weren't spotless (found some hair on the floor 🙈). The rooftop pool was amazing! 🤩 They could use some comfy chairs up there though. 🤔 Location is okay (a bit out of the way), and breakfast/dinner were just so-so. 😐
The place is a little dated for sure. Off the beaten path also. It's one of those places where you can tell they spent a decent amount of money on a remodel years ago, and some of the elements just kind of went bad. Like the seating on the top floor, the concrete getting blown out. There were no countertops in the bathroom, which was kind of a pain in the butt. Lots of people working in the restaurant but only one person really doing any work. I hate bad mouthing Hospitality places but I am kind of a Karen when it comes to hospitality. I think they could do so much better.
