Booked the 2 room apartment with balcony hot tub and it didn't disappoint. Fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, sofa and fireplace in 1 room and the other room a bedroom. Modern and attractively decorated. Balcony with hot tub, outdoor bbq and sink and 2 sun recliners, everything you could want. Reception were friendly helpful and informative I would highly recommend Vaya Suites.
Our home away from home for 16 days. We had the 2 room suite on the ground floor. This upon our own request as we try to avoid cigarette smoke drifting in, knowing that smoking is still a widespread habit in Greece. We were very happy with our rooms. The living room was spacious with a neat little pantry tucked in. The pantry had a small fridge and a two spots electric cooker, there were some pans and enough crockery and cutlery for 2 persons. We used it to cook our breakfast. The bedroom held a nice double bed and had a ceiling fan to move the air around. The living room had an aircon and we usually left the door between the two rooms open to enjoy the cooler air. The bathroom was clean with nice vanity with sink, a toilet and really nice rainshower with lots of water pressure. Outside our living and bedroom we had a very spacious terrace with a jacuzzi. One we used nearly every single day. Suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The times we had questions or needed help, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Last but not least we were able to park our rental car within the apartments’ grounds. Added bonus, the beach was a 5 minute walk away.
Disappointing Stay – Not What We Paid For We arrived late on the first day and already noticed major discrepancies from what was advertised. The air conditioning didn’t work at all (wouldn’t even turn on), and instead of the double bed we paid for and specifically chose, we found two single beds pushed together. The night was hot and noisy, and to make matters worse, the outdoor swing featured in the listing (a key reason we chose this hotel) was missing. We reported everything to reception the next day. A staff member, Maria, visited our room, confirmed the AC was broken, and explained that the swing was "being washed" and would be available on Monday as it was the weekend. We decided to be patient. We were promised that the beds would be joined properly with a mattress connector the following day (Sunday). But when we returned to the room in the afternoon, nothing had been done: the AC still didn’t work, the room hadn’t been cleaned, there was no connector, and still no swing. We reported it again. The receptionist, although extremely kind, was shocked nothing had been addressed. She later visited the room herself, bringing a fan (which only blew warm air), a housekeeper to fix the bed, and finally — a swing borrowed from a sister hotel. We appreciated the effort. However, shortly after, we were told that our room could not accommodate a swing at all, and only two rooms in the entire property actually had that feature — both of which were occupied. (This swing was clearly shown in the listing and influenced our booking decision.) The next day, the manager offered us a new room with working air conditioning and a double bed — but again confirmed there was no way to provide the swing. Tired and frustrated, we accepted. However, the new room also had two single beds pushed together with separate mattresses and duvets. At least the AC worked this time — but it was extremely loud, making it hard to sleep. Again, we reported this, but at this point we were exhausted from chasing after basic comfort. The manager tried to offer compensation in the form of free breakfasts or dinners at a sister hotel, but all we really wanted was what we paid for: a quiet, air-conditioned room with a proper double bed and the outdoor swing shown in the listing. We suggested a fair refund for the two nights of inconvenience, in exchange for not leaving a negative review. She refused, saying she wasn't obligated and that we were just "complaining" and rejecting her offers. We packed our things and left the day before our planned check-out, completely disappointed and stressed. We want to acknowledge that both Maria and Marina from the staff were very polite and did their best to help under the circumstances — unfortunately, the situation was beyond their control. I strongly advise potential guests to be cautious when booking this hotel. There is a real risk that you will not receive what was advertised or what you paid for. We stayed in two different rooms and never received what was promised in the listing.
