Staying here for 21 day quarantine - the staff here is better than most five star hotels. They are extremely diligent and helpful. Things are delivered quickly and trash and old towels are removed promptly. On the flipside, I would never stay here if I had a better choice. The bathrooms are old and smell of old pipes, the food given three times a day are hardly edible. I order room service everyday.
If you are purely coming in for an overnight stay, I guess this place is ok. Would not have guessed that this was a 4 star hotel though, more like 2. If you intend to quarantine here, don't. This is hell. Our first day here, we plugged in some electronics, and instantly one of our power strips burnt out and all the wall plugs in the room stopped working. Took them several hours to fix. There are also far too few plugs, all in one corner of the room, so you have to walk across the (admittedly tiny) room to get to a charger if your phone runs low on batteries. The tiny little fridge they put under the desk was not functional in our room, and it took several calls down to the front desk and almost an entire day before we got a replacement. The food is bland, half the time it tastes like cardboard, and they had no respect for dietary restrictions despite having explicitly asked about them when we checked in. Breakfasts are almost always cold, and lunch/dinner is 70% rice, 30% some random dish that they didn't use any seasoning for. There is also no way to heat your food. The air conditioning is erratic and randomly gets extremely loud (like, vacuum cleaner levels of loud). It also doesn't keep the temperature stable, which means that the room could either be cold enough to wake you up at times, or warm enough that you sweat through the bed waking up in practically a puddle (especially bad since they don't offer any change of sheets through a 21 day quarantine stay). Getting out of bed and taking a shower to wash off the smell is also hardly an option. The showers in our room didn't have hot water (tap did though somehow). The bed is hard, and there is a layer of plastic under the pillowcase and bed sheets (presumably to prevent contamination) which means annoying crinkling sounds every time you move a little in bed (it also makes the excess heat problems caused by the erratic AC that much worse). The chair is wobbly and the fake leather on it is clearly at the end of it's life span, the (vinyl?) material on the top of the desk has cracks in it. All in all, this hotel looks and feels way too old, and the services offered are incompetent at best, dysfunctional at worst. They really should just demolish the place and start over.
Untidy, unfriendly - not value for your money! The floor in our room was sticky and had not been cleaned for weeks, we found 2 pairs of used slippers and smelly dirt under the beds. Sticky fingerprints in door handles and all over. Window was so dirty you could hardly see through to street. The smell in the room was really disgusting, but could not open the window for long due to heavy traffic and exhaust underneath the window. Bathroom handle broked, toilet seat broken... Management was rude and was not paying attention to customer feedback. Think twice before booking this hotel! Regards, A Family with teenagers
