Velas Do Engenho

We stayed for 3 nights in a superior triple room last week. Huge room and balcony, very comfortable bed (plus sofa) and very quiet aircon so slept very well (no traffic noise). Very efficient and friendly staff and super helpful, e.g. in booking tour for us. (All the staff were delightful.) Great breakfast and delicious evening meal. Beautiful pool and surrounding area. Very handy to be able to borrow chairs and umbrella for beach. We'd love to return one day!

I was simply amazed by my stay at this place! The staff and food were just incredible and the hotel is located right in front of an amazing calm beach but also next to the center of Ilhabela! I will be definitely coming back and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxed vacation! 😊 make sure to check out their restaurant, I had a delicious authentic Brazilian culinary experience there 😋 🇧🇷!

Fantastic hotel, beautiful location and facilities. Unfortunately during my stay (May 2025) there were some works being doing st the entrance which made the stay a bit stressful with constant noise. But this has the potential to be one of the best in the island.
