Veligandu Island Resort & Spa

We stayed in Veligandu for a week and it was the best holiday we've ever had. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail. It has an incredible atmosphere and smiling staff. Especially Julia helped us a lot in every way. I also wanted to thank her from here. The food was perfect, the chefs were great and I have a sensitive stomach and it didn't bother me at all. The diving team was also perfect. It was a great experience. I definitely recommend it. We stayed in the ocean villa, the view was beautiful and the cleaning was very good. Thank you very much to the whole team for this great experience. And also many greetings to my friend Shujau.

Everything here was so good nothing to complain about. Especially staff team they all warm welcoming helpful and kind. Every where are clean and new. The restaurant Rahuu was recommended. Food and drinks are very good. If I had chance will be come again.

I have to rate this stay 4 out of 5. We did a last minute booking and ended up on a boat transfer from MLE to the veligandu resort. My wife is pregnant and it was a really bumpy ride to the resort and we were never offered a seaplane which is hard to understand when there’s only 20usd price difference. I would say it’s a lack of attention from the hotel staff not offering the option especially with a pregnant lady. We stayed in the overwater ocean pool villa and apparently the AC shuts off when the door to the balcony isn’t locked. We were both so tired after the long flight(s) that we ended up asking the butler to come and check the AC and fell asleep, but there was no response until the next day and basically we felt suffocated because of the heat and had a horrible nights sleep for the first night. Next day we fixed the problem ourselves as we realised the door was just closed and not locked but it would have been great with some assistance from the hotel staff. Last complaint is from the flies on our room! We asked for pest control 3 days in a row due to the amount of flies in the new villas! Imaging paying so much money for these fancy villas and having to deal with flies everyday. It’s beyond my understanding that we were never offered any other room available at the resort, it’s just unacceptable if you ask me for the money you are paying. Also the hotel staff never apologised for the inconvenience. The resort is beautiful, newly renovated, food is amazing, house reef is nice too. We saw sharks, manta rays, turtles etc Gym is also great and has good staff
